Button buffer

From Wavu Wiki, the 🌊 wavy Tekken wiki

A button buffer is a technique making use of a mechanic where pressing and holding an input allows it to be used at a later time for a combination input. For example, if you press and hold 1 you'll get a jab. If you later press 2 while still holding 1, you'll get 1+2 (if there is a move on that input).

This is often used to make it easier to input strings, chain throws, and chickens without the use of binds. It's also often used for Bryan's taunt since it isn't possible to bind the full taunt input to a single button.
