Classic Tekken Resources

From Wavu Wiki, the 🌊 wavy Tekken wiki

Overview

Resources for classic Tekken games can be found on this page. Online netplay for each game varies, along with documented resources. Not an exhaustive list of resources available online. Credit to ora7659 for prior compilation of some of these resources (specifically DR, 6 and Tag 2) here.

General Resources

Depending on the connection between two players, sometimes each game's respective emulating solution doesn't provide a stable connection, so players will also opt to use Parsec, a third-party peer-to-peer application to connect their PC's. This option is used most commonly with T5DR, T6 and TTT2, but is usable for any of the games below.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2

Wider information on Tag 2 can be found at WavuWiki's Tag 2 main wiki page. Pages are currently under construction.

Netplay can be played through the RPCS3 emulator's RPCN network most commonly at the following Discord servers:

A guide to setting netplay up through RPCS3 can be found at SRKade Discord, this Rentry page, and the Tekken Tag 2 Revival Discord. Once netplay through RPCS3 is set up, one can play in lobbies and ranked mode in TTT2!

PPSSPP, a PSP emulator, can also be used with the PSP re-release of T5DR, known as Tekken: Dark Resurrection (setup guide here). This method is rarer to find matches for however.

Netplay for T5.0 can be played using a combination of the PCSX2 emulator and Radmin VPN most commonly at similar Discord servers as T5DR above. A setup guide for T5 can be found on the Fighting Arcade Discord.

An alternative, more reliable netplay solution for T5.0 is also currently being developed, namely by the Honmaru team using their Arkadyzja matchmaking frontend. Matchmaking for other titles can also found on the Honmaru FGC Discord. A larger Arkadyzja setup guide can be found here as well.
