Talk:Nina starter guide

Discussion page of Nina starter guide

I think this kind of page can help with onboarding players onto different characters to get a feel for them, without having to pore through the archives. Ideally each section would be a series of side-by-side columns with [key info] left of each entry. The idea is to neglect specific information and just communicate a basic starting gameplan, comprised of:

  • What moves to use at each range.
  • Basic punishers for standing, crouching and whiff.
  • Key lows.
  • Basic command throws.
  • Gimmicks.
  • Consistent combo path for most launchers.
  • Combo at wall.
  • Moves for when enemy is down.
  • Key mixups/pressure strings.
Way too much scope creep. We don't want pages with redundant information. Review the Lee pages and tell me if you think someone would have trouble figuring any of those things out. (The only things missing right now are oki and gimmicks, which can go in setups and neutral respectively.) Just put stuff where it belongs. It's much easier for readers when they know where to find stuff. RogerDodger (talk) 01:40, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
