This template provides a standard way to represent the difficulty, importance, and value of a particular technique. Its main use is on the character overview page.

In this context, importance is “how common is it for a player to need this technique” and “how expected is it for a high level player to staple this.” Dexterity is “how difficult is it to physically perform the input.” Rhythm is “how tight are the links, in frames.” Value is “how much extra damage does doing this yield compared with the easy option,” with “easy” roughly meaning 2 stars or less in both rhythm and dexterity.

Star ratings roughly mean:

Dexterity
☆☆☆☆☆ No real coordination needed with left hand at all.
★☆☆☆☆ Minor coordination needed or simple motion inputs.
★★☆☆☆ Complex motion inputs, or fast sequence of simple inputs.
★★★☆☆ Speedy motion inputs, or EWGF-style frame perfect coordination.
★★★★☆ Speedy and complex motion inputs, or speedy sequence of simple motion inputs.
★★★★★ Motion inputs that need frame perfect precision, or speedy sequence of complex motion inputs.
Rhythm
☆☆☆☆☆ Can easily use input buffer for everything.
★☆☆☆☆ 5–8 frame link (i.e. something that can't be buffered).
★★☆☆☆ 3-4 frame link, or multiple of previous, or previous that links from blockstun.
★★★☆☆ 2 frame link, or multiple of previous, or previous that links from blockstun.
★★★★☆ Multiple of previous, or previous that that links from blockstun.
★★★★★ 1 frame link.
Value
☆☆☆☆☆ 1-2 damage added.
★☆☆☆☆ 3-4 damage added, or slight improvement to wall carry.
★★☆☆☆ 5-7 damage added, or major improvement to wall carry.
★★★☆☆ 8-12 damage added, or critical improvement to wall carry.
★★★★☆ 13-18 damage added, or enables a wall combo which is otherwise impossible.
★★★★★ 19+ damage added.

Importance is intentionally left vague since it depends on the character.
