P1

Recording on P2 as default is very arguable. Mainly that most players are way more familiar with P1 side, thus inputs don't read clearly

I don't intend to re-record any videos just because the viewpoint fighter is on one side or the other. It's not that important, and we shouldn't give readers any expectations in this regard. A video on the right having P2 as the viewpoint fighter is a nice visual aesthetic, but it's more of a recommendation than an actual rule. There's no way a reader could be confused by a P2 command history, since it should be plainly obvious from the video that it's for P2. RogerDodger (talk) 21:31, 6 February 2021 (UTC)

Recommendation to hide Player Attack Info and Hit Properties

Tekken 8 is being frequently patched, and the move attack properties, especially the damage values, are subject to change. Move videos recorded with player attack info displayed could become outdated with a new patch.

Since the objective with the move videos is to recall the move's animation, and since move properties can be easily looked up from externally recorded frame data, I propose hiding both the player attack info as well as the hit properties when recording move videos, and updating the display settings guidelines to reflect this.

Hit properties are admittedly less subject to change, and could be left in. It's possible for a move's animation to change, thus rendering the video outdated, but I've never seen that happen so far. --winn0w (talk) 20:19, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
