Nina tech (Tekken 7)

From Wavu Wiki, the 🌊 wavy Tekken wiki

Tech broadly covers anything that doesn't fit elsewhere, such as:

  • Notable tricks or niche uses for a string/move
  • Execution tips for a particular technique

If a section gets too long, it might be sensible to move it to its own page.

Nina's rolling dash
Nina's rolling dash is generally listed as being accessible by inputting qcf or from cancelling certain moves with a forward input, namely df+1,2~f, df+3,2~f and SS+1~f.
If you press an attack button while still holding forward, you will perform qcf inputs.
If you press an attack button while pressing any direction except forward, including neutral, you will perform while standing inputs. This is a key part of performing iWS+1.
Rolling dash can actually be accessed by just inputting "d,f". This allows her to perform qcf moves 1 frame faster than other characters. This allows her to perform a "qcf+4" as an i15 punisher while typically this move would be i16 as the fastest.
Nina's crouch dash
As well as her "rolling dash", she also has access to her crouch dash by inputting d,df. While this isn't unique to Nina, her crouch dash has unique properties which no other character has.
During her crouch dash, Nina has access to her crouching moves, some standing moves and is able to cancel it instantly into a sidestep up.
d,DF,1+2 will perform her "ray hands" homing move
d,df,db+3+4 will perform her "geyser cannon"
d,df,df+1 will perform her df,df+1 command throw. This was not accessible from rolling dash prior to season 3.
