The tournament scene terror of earlier seasons, Kazumi is a barebones lockdown poking character with excellent movement and fundamental tools.
'''Kazumi''' is a straightforward character with one of the shortest movelists in the game. This simplicity allows the player to focus on the more high-level aspects of Tekken such as reads, movement, and adapting to the opponent.
She can comfortably be played with just a handful of moves.
This character offers unparalleled ability to pick up Tekken basics and is a great choice for new players.

Perhaps her most unique aspect is that her DF1 has hardly any pushback and unusually good tracking, allowing her to stick to her opponent, closing off their options one by one. The smallest forward dash causes her DF1 to track sidesteppers, making the move a true jack of all trades.
She is notorious for being very “sticky”, owing to her jabs and d/f+1 having a lot of forward movement, which makes it nearly impossible to backdash away from her pressure.
Also worth mentioning is her Mishima 112 (a knockdown jab hitconfirm), her magic 4 and her DB4, a chunky low poke.

She has amongst the lowest combo damage in the game, and because of her hopkick's range she often can't launch moves that are supposed to be launch punishable.
While Kazumi is often recommended to newer players, many find her barebones movelist and lack of complex techniques boring, and her lack of cheese and low damage makes it difficult to steal wins. She is, rather, a good choice players ''already'' interested in mastering the Tekken system.
