Lucky Chloe counterplay

Cali roll

Lucky Chloe's BT launcher, BT.f+3+4,3+4,3+4 is tricky to punish. The last hit is safe-on-block, but it can be interrupted for a float (by i14 or faster attacks) or stepped. However, if she doesn't to do the final hit, many interrupt attempts whiff and a step on its own gets nothing.

The generic way to beat both options is to do a small step into a dash attack. For example, Kazumi can use f,F+4 for this technique to get a guaranteed launch. This takes some practice to get the timing right so that the cancel (BT.f+3+4,3+4) is punished and the full string (BT.f+3+4,3+4,3+4) is stepped and doesn't side switch.

Some characters have attacks that easily punish both options. These are typically fast, long range strings like Lidia's b+2,3.
