Asuka is a defensive character that excels at interrupting her opponent's offense using keepout, safe on block counter hit launchers, punch and kick sabaki moves and her notorious reversal.

With her f+2 being one of the best whiff punishers in the game, she rewards players with a keen eye for mis-spaced attacks.

What she lacks in frame priority and block punishment, she makes up for in pokes and animation cancels to provoke a reckless response that she can capitalize on with her defensive tools.
