Victor is a flashy and versatile all-rounder with easy execution. With access to a good selection of solid pokes, counterhit tools, pressure moves, stance mixups, and panic moves, he is able to express any playstyle.
Most of his tools are weapon-based, making them unparryable, while also granting him great range on his attacks and a significant amount of chip damage options. He has a notably strong while running move (f,f,F+2) which, in addition to its reach, is plus on block, deals heavy damage on hit, deals chip damage on block, is a counterhit launcher, and leads into an optional Iai stance mixup. He has one of the rare few high powercrushing heat engagers in the game, making it difficult to pressure him. In Heat, he gets access to buffed versions of some existing moves that have improved frames and chip damage over their non-Heat counterparts. Victor's combos offer significant carry and he is most dangerous at the wall, where he has access to a variety of wall oki options (W! 2,1,f,2,2; W! 1,f+4,2,d) that set up huge amounts of damage and chip damage and can repeatedly resplat careless opponents.
While Victor has tools to play in many different ways, none of them are best-in-class. This puts the onus on the player to rapidly adapt playstyles to gain an advantage. Victor's main moves are fairly linear, demanding that the player mindfully use frame-advantageous situations and their own movement to deal with sidesteps and sidewalks. They are also generally committal, leaving Victor open to heavy punishment on whiff. His most useful lows are less safe than average, and his heat smash, while a low, does subpar damage and is the only launch punishable heat smash from neutral in the game.

- Most useful lows are more unsafe than average, with many being launch punishable
- Long recovery on key moves makes whiff punishment easier for the opponent
- Lacks certain generic defensive options, such as an i10 crouch jab and a js9-13 hopkick
